We have just come to the end of the first block of after school clubs before half term. The children made these amazing tote bags inspired by the artist, Frida Kahlo. They made them in stages and learnt so many skills along the way that they can apply to future projects. They sewed the different elements onto the front of the bag, attached the handles and machine-sewed the back and front together. They were intrigued to sew it inside out but soon understood why when they turned it back the right way again. I love all the different expressions on Frida’s face.
